Mind power is the tool that you need to take over the world. This statement is not really overbearing nor it is sweeping. There has been many studies all over the world that have testified to the power of the mind and how far it can take an individual. We are talking about ambition, drive and energy and these are the building blocks of success. If you want something bad enough, you will eventually get close to your goal or devour it completely. This is the problem with people nowadays and sometimes, we cannot place all the blame on them. The brain is a strange creature and sometimes, it can dampen, tire and lower our energy levels with as much ease as it can do the same.

Coupled with the fact that we are not using the brain to the fullest potential, then you get a formula for failure, or in this case formula for complacency. The power of the mind is actually quite limitless when you think about it. How do you measure the level of creativity, brilliance or inspiration. These are intangibles produced by the brain by everyone, and some of us seems to have more than other people. With stress, the world as it is today, entertainment, media and technology, these things have contributed to dampening the spirit living in the brain - the very spirit that would lift us to victory.

But of course, the personal development industry has taken a very keen interest in the subconscious mind, the second, inner mind within our mind that is constantly aware and constantly in action. The thing about the subconscious mind is that it is a double edged knife and for us, it seems that it has a limiting factor for most of us. It commands everything about us, from our physiological aspects to our mental aspects and we need to be able to reset and empower our subconscious to let us be all we can be. Mastering Your Mind Power: Learn to Trust the Law of Cause and Effect

Every cause has an effect, and every effect has a cause. How do you determine what is cause and what is effect? Do you have a role in producing either? If so, just what is your role? If you do not have a role, is there someone or something that plays a role for you in this cause and effect law?

hese questions go straight to the heart of every thing and every condition that exists in our world, including ourselves. The rule of thumb that I have learned and use to make the distinction between cause and effect is the following. Anything that exists that is perceptible to the physical senses, i.e., sight, hearing, taste, touch and smell, is in the realm of effect. Generally, all that exists that is not perceptible to the physical senses is in the realm of cause.

All causes that relate to me exist within me, just as I believe all causes that relate to you exist within you. Cause consists of the thoughts, ideas, beliefs, and mental images in my mind, my consciousness. Cause consists of the never ending string of possibilities presented to me in consciousness from which I choose.

By choosing from the possibilities, and making that choice the object of my focus and observation (cause), I know what effect to expect. Here is the rub. If I do not consciously choose from the endless stream of possibilities, I inadvertently, unconsciously make choices (cause) anyway.

By neglecting to consciously make choices of the thoughts ideas, and mental images on which to focus, unconscious choices are made for me, drawn from my past experiences. When the effect of that inadvertent, unconscious choice (cause) comes into my experience (effect) I will likely look at other effects as the cause.

Be forewarned. Occasional, half hearted, focus cannot be viewed as cause and is not likely to change much in your life outcomes. A pound of salt dropped into Lake Michigan is not going to change the lake into a salt water lake. If, however, you direct a powerful stream of salt into the lake over a significant period, it will make noticeable changes in the makeup of the lake.

I trust that you can now see, as I have seen, that mastering your mind power is critical to your success in accessing more of the riches of life. The riches are there for you. It truly does not matter what the conditions of your life have been up to this point.

You can begin now, or continue, to shift your consciousness in the direction of your desires. Make your desires the object of your focus (cause) and you will no longer have to live in fear and worry in relation to the effects you experience.

Once you feel, really feel that you have accepted the object of your focus into your deeper mind (cause) trust the Law of Cause and Effect to do its work. It must produce the desired outcome (effect) if you let it. Do not look out upon the effects around you seeking the appearance of your desire. Each time you look into the world of effects and do not see it, you will likely begin to reinforce your old belief that you DO NOT HAVE IT. You in effect, begin to push your desire away before it can materialize.

This I know for sure. You can claim or re-claim control of your own mind power. You are the most miraculous of all living beings on earth. You are the owner of a mind that is so stupendous, that as you truly begin mastering your mind power and consciously using it, there is no dream that you can dream that you cannot achieve.

Further Thoughts On Medication

Anxiety medication, and any medication in general, is something to be taken only with caution, and in many cases, doctors will unnecessarily prescribe medications that are not needed (need and want are two terms that people have a difficult time distinguishing between).

The patient’s goal in seeking medication is to reduce the distress that is being experienced. Many patients often mistake anxiety medication to be a cure for a certain condition; however, this is not the case. What medication really does would be more properly termed to be symptom suppression. By this term, it is meant that rather than actually curing the condition and removing it from the patient, the patient’s anxious symptoms (swirling head, upset stomach, sweaty palms, shaking arms etc…) are reduced to a much more manageable level. The anxious thinking, the core of the problem, is still there. A person will not wake up the next day, being on the new medication, and suddenly turn into a relaxed and confident socialite who can handle anything. A more realistic picture will be that that person is still anxious in all the same situations as before, but to a lesser degree.

What doctors do not tell the patient is how to put this artificial relaxation to use in terms of treating anxiety. Doctors, as a whole, emphasize only half of the human being, the physical part, and the other half, the mind, is incredibly powerful and can have great physical effects. (If one finds a really good doctor that emphasizes both body and mind, one should hold onto this doctor at all costs). What one should really be doing, now that he or she feels more relaxed, is confronting anxiety provoking situations and gaining skill in relation to managing anxiety. That way, when one decides to cease medication, one’s relaxation level will remain as a natural part of one’s personality because he or she has identified healthier thought patterns that reduce anxious symptomology.

Another caveat to medication is that many times patients will habituate to the medication. To habituate means that the person’s body becomes well acclimated to the medication, and the medication no longer provides its beneficial effects. So, while medication may be helpful, its effects are not necessarily permanent.

A very important point to remember about seeing doctors is that medicine, as a science, takes a reactionary approach to treating diseases and conditions. Rather than treating the root cause of the problem, in this case anxiety, medicine treats its symptoms, which as shown before, does not necessarily completely change one’s life for the better. Choosing to treat the symptoms and not the cause of the problem means that patients will have to remain on expensive medications for longer periods of time and engage in even further methods for reducing symptoms (seeking a different medication, or an additional one to suppress negative symptoms provided by the first medication). This creates an elaborate web of methods that are expensive, and most importantly, only temporary. Prevention is a far more effective long term method of treating anxiety, and it is one that most doctors ignore (the good ones don’t ignore prevention). The reason that prevention is not discussed more in medicine, or other areas of mental health, is that prevention is very difficult to measure scientifically, and therefore it is hard to demonstrate with raw numbers that prevention actually works. However, based on the elaborate webs of symptoms and reactionary treatment that are created by today’s medicine, it seems that prevention would be a very useful strategy to employ.

How can one employ prevention in terms of treating anxiety? The answer is by treating the root problem. The more one learns to successfully process anxiety (a superior method to medicine of treating anxiety by burning it off and getting it out of one’s brain and body; this is discussed in more detail in Successful Processing of Anxiety), and the more that one learns to prevent anxiety by engaging in appropriate methods , the better off one is in the short and long term. When one learns to change his or her thinking and perception of life and its events, this leads to a permanent change in behavior, something that medicine alone cannot accomplish.

The final negative aspect to consider about medication is that even though the medication might be approved for sale by the Food and Drug Administration, this does not mean that all the effects of the drug are known, and many times drug companies will pay off officials to look over the possible negative effects of medication. In many cases, although no anxiety medications come to mind, science will find that for a few years, a certain drug is safe; then after a long term study of the drug is conducted, it is found that those who take it receive no beneficial effects for anxiety, or that perhaps they experience significant side effects (like increased risk of cancer or heart disease) many years down the road.

While this article has spent much of its time exposing all the shortfalls and drawbacks of medication, it is important to

remember that medication can have very beneficial effects. Many of the severely anxious are so anxious that performing the smallest task, like going to a restaurant to eat, is a very stressful task. For those who are severely anxious like this and who cannot perform basic life functions (like working for example), medication is a necessary solution because it enables them to do the things they need to do in order to survive.

In the end, the best way to view medication is to look at it as a place of last resort. The motto of less is more is a good framework for thinking about medication. Medication, it seems, has a short term effect that is not curative. However, it can be very beneficial in a handful of situations, so it may be a viable option for some, but the best long term solution that leads to permanent happiness and relaxation is a preventative and multidisciplinary approach. There is no objective set of criteria that can be used whether or not to determine if one needs medication. However, the guidelines in this article have hopefully helped to clarify this decision making process

Why is goalsetting important?

Why is goal setting important? Because without goals you don't go anywhere! Whenever you notice anything worthwhile being acieved anywhere, it's because someone is behind it with a passion, a belief and a goal!

When it comes to your personal life and your business, goal setting can make the difference between mediocrity and excellence and accomplishment.

Much is said about goal setting. But just how do you set and accomplish goals?
Is there some goal setting formula or strategy that can be employed to increase your chances of success?

Thankfully, YES!

What follows is a blueprint for success in goal setting.

The Goal Setting Blueprint is as follows:

STEP 1. Develop a DESIRE to achieve the goal. The desire must be intense. How do you intensify desire? Sit down and write out all the benefits and advantages of achieving your goal. Once the list goes between 50 and 100 your goal becomes unstoppable.

STEP 2. WRITE your goal down. Once it goes into writing it becomes substantial and starts etching itself into your subconscious.

STEP 3. IDENTIFY the obstacles you will need to overcome, find the help you will need to acquire, e.g. knowledge, people, organizations. In each case write them out in a clear list and analyze them.

STEP 4. PUT A DATE/DEADLINE on your goal. Analyze where you are now in relation to the goal and then measure how long you will reasonably need to complete the goal. Then set the latest outside date.

STEP 5. Take all the details of steps 3 and 4 and make a PLAN. List all the activities and prioritize them. Rewrite the list, optimize it, perfect it.

STEP 6. Get a clear MENTAL PICTURE of the goal already accomplished. Make the mental image crystal clear, vivid in the mind's eye. Play that picture over and over in your mind.

STEP 7. Back your plan with PERSISTENCE and resolve. Never, never, never give up even when you hit setbacks.

Follow those steps religiously and you will be successful at goal setting. These are the steps I use within my Lottery Business

DANGER - You can read this and think, "That sounds interesting. I must try that sometime".

SO - Take these 7 steps and rewrite them on a card or in a notebook for frequent reference. Keep them on your computer in a note on your desktop.

Use the 7 steps as a BLUEPRINT. Keep checking your goal against the 7 steps frequently to measure your progress and keep yourself on track.

Then and only then will this article make a difference to your personal and business life.

Now the question is, what goal are you going to set today?

What goal can you set for your business which is going to lift it to new levels?

What goal setting are you going to implement in your personal life which is going to have a positive effect on you and your loved ones?

How often do you not say or do something because you're worried about how it'll be perceived? For most of us, myself included, this happens more often then we'd like to admit.

Clothing: No matter what branded apparel you wear,if it is not clean and fragrant, leave women alone. If you are not sure what style of clothing is popular just look around at what your peers are wearing and try that. There are plenty of low priced quality brands available. Go to one of these outlets and buy something that looks good on you.

Attitude: Have you guys ever suffered becoming just a "good" friend of your dream girl? That's because you are too nice to us from day one onwards that the thought of making you as boyfriends never occurs to us or simply bypasses us. It's good to be nice but too much of sweetness can never stimulate us.

Be a romantic Bring some zing factor in the whole thing and try playing around with harmless wickedness. All this would make you a very interesting person, your lady would want to know more about you and tell you as much about herself as well. Now that doesn't mean you need to be an all time mean guy. You could even write down future events that you hope to experience. If you were in a very bad relationship, write down what you require in your next relationship. ( Be reasonable though because nobody ' s perfect! ) Write down what your future mate will be like and some happy times you ' d like to share with him / her.

This is also a great way to program your mind and energy field into attracting what you desire most. The past is gone, it ' s done and over. The only way it can have any effect on you now is if you let it. Those " bad memory " pathways have worn a groove in your mind, so it ' s much easier to recall them - - whether we like it or not. Choose to create " positive memory " pathways and see the difference it makes in your mood, and in your life.

Evolution Through Chaos and Change

Although "New Age" is very young in its reality, it was and still is a major catalyst in the development and evolution of mankind. It has been instrumental in moving humanity from the dark ages of religion to a more enlightened awareness of mankind to its creator. But "New Age," as religion and dinosaurs must make way for the mammals and new growth.

Three months ago I was asked to develop a training program for our department at work. I was also asked to upgrade our existing sales Reps and the new sales people coming into the company; new products required this change. This change is timely and has manifested itself in a time of change and chaos.

People by nature do not like change and it is upsetting for many. Chaos is the mark of change. Today companies are struggling to survive and some are disappearing. Jobs are being lost as companies restructure and lay off their employees. Change is occurring everywhere and none are immune from it. But, change is an opportunity for growth. As the dinosaurs (old established corporations) are replaced by young, hungry companies and workers; the changes will be viewed as beneficial by future generations.

The change that is occurring now is not about companies, countries or people. It is about relationships; relationships are changing. All things in the physical world are about relationships between one thing or another-people, places and things. There is nothing that is impervious to change-it is the one and only constant in the universe.

A major change will occur in this century and within the next few years. For those who are more sensitive to these changes; you are already feeling them at home, and in personal relationships outside the home and at work.

I have been feeling restless for several years knowing that something is happening, but not being able to put my finger on it. I have written and published internationally, two books as well as more than 500 articles on "New Age" which are distributed worldwide over the internet.

Three months ago when I received my promotion to trainer, I stopped writing. I have ignored my web sites and isolated myself from my own writing. The truth is I have moved on or matured past them.

Everything is as an echo in a pail. You write, you talk, you teach and it keeps coming back to you. It's no longer going anywhere, and I have to look at it for what it is; it's a step that is completed and my right foot is already in motion, ready to move forward.

The awareness that "New Age" has brought forward was that "we are all one", that we are the creator of all that we experience. There is no "God Like" creator sitting in a place called Heaven; Angry, Vengeful, Punishing or even Benevolent. There is no chosen few and all are equal and connected.

Although "New Age" may be the stepping stone that takes us to the next realm of existence, it is still extremely limited in its scope or understanding of where the next step will take us or what it actually is.

Language is the greatest hindrance to understanding when we try to teach or pass on our awareness. "New Age" still uses religious terms to identify with the listener and move him to a new awareness. However, the words that we use tell others where we are, and they limit us. In an effort not to alienate ourselves, we use language to bridge the gap. But the language can never fully explain what the change will actually be. The change can best be experienced as a feeling where no words are spoken. You cannot explain the taste of chocolate; it must be experienced.

As "New Age' writers, we can only image what the next experience will be. In my experience, our current vision of an afterlife or passing, only goes as far as the next emanation. We are far greater than what "Religion" or "New Age" has taught us and we are not limited in any way. The next great step in evolution will not be as humble as we have experienced over our sojourn on this planet. There are infinite realms of existence, but only one consciousness.

Although we may choose to remain in the next realm just for the experience; we will consciously become aware of our choice and our alternatives to other existences. But the real purpose of what we will experience will not actually be appreciated until we discover our true nature; no matter how many realms we experience. No matter how many times we live and die. As long as we keep passing responsibility for our existence on to someone or something else, we will never know our true nature. We will never know ourselves as "life" as the only thing that really exists; but as an effect or consequence of it.

"New Age" may correctly assume the essence of our true nature, but in itself it does not own up and say exactly what it is. It has not yet reached a comfortable place in time where it can give its final declaration-that it is properly "this" or "that." Very much like religion, it does not take you to your final resting place-it is just another step on an endless path of awareness. However, the two are not mutually exclusive, and as beings of consciousness we can be aware of our true nature and choose not to experience it, as we have done for time immortal. We can experience the one, experiencing all other things and nothing at the same time. Within that awareness is the experience of being eternal and perpetual.

To experience the unlimited experience of being, we must include in our awareness the one that is really experiencing; the observer as well as the observed. Without the full knowledge or experience of both at the very least, it is an unfulfilled experience. To be aware of being asleep you must experience both being awake and asleep at the same time. At that time you will know the true experience of your conscious thought.

To be alive and to have the convenience of forgetting what we were before or what are true nature is, is not the full experience of self realization or recreation. The full nature is to know both simultaneously. Only at that time can we appreciate our true nature.

The relational changes that we are currently feeling will eventually manifest into an awareness of true consciousness.

It's not the end of anything, but the beginning of an awareness of consciousness, experiencing. Because time does not really exist: all things shall remain in the collective consciousness as experienced or being experienced. Our awareness of ourselves is a product of the process of the manifestation of consciousness that we incorrectly assume is outside ourselves. We are neither the beginning nor the end. We are the process itself-we are consciousness in motion.

We are consciousness watching ourselves in a mirror watching ourselves in a mirror. Every thought we have manifested into action is reflected back to us. We are the observer and the observed existing in the same time and space-there is nothing else.

Our true nature does not evolve; it is static. It is within the awareness of knowing itself, that it experiences evolution. It is very much like a baby that discovers its fingers, toes and other body parts. It understands itself as complete in its own experience. It forgets its true identity as spirit or consciousness in body form, and assumes a temporary physical experience with purpose. But once again, this is not a complete experience. The complete experience would be within an awareness of all things imagined.

In fact, they have likely researched their idea and understand the challenges. Perhaps it is just a seedling of an idea and they are airing it for the first time. Be positive, give them the gift of enthusiasm and support.
What if you think their idea is insane, crazy or a huge risk? Well, first imagine you were Bill Gates friend all those years ago....imagine if he told you he was going to be the dominant operating system for pcs...what would you have said? For a man that we are told did not complete his tertiary education, to dominate the PC world from a backyard idea....perhaps we would have thought he was crazy. He did it!
If you are really concerned for them, then after ( and only after) you make some positive responses, try asking some searching questions positively framed. Questions like:
I am really interested, have you researched the market yet, or is this a brand new idea?
How do you think you will go about marketing it?
What will your service consist of? etc,
.....and in their answers you will find more information about why they are excited. With questions framed in a positive way, you can ensure that they are understanding the areas that concern you, but not in a way that has a negative impact on them.
Please don't tell them how to do it unless they ask you for advice, and above all stay positive, it is an invaluable gift to your friend. Remember, it is not your idea, business, dream or goal it is theirs. It is their risk and their effort to reach success. Help them by being open to their ideas, listening and asking searching but positive questions. You will be surprised by the positive energy you receive in return.
If you respond in a negative way, you are not only stealing energy from them, but you are also losing energy yourself. You may kill another global innovation in the making, or a truly great idea. You will certainly damage your friendship

The Differences between Spirits and Liqueurs

Spirits are produced by concentrating the alcohol in a ferment liquid through distillation whereby liqueur is a spirit that has been sweetened and flavoured. The concentration of the alcohol is normally between 37% and 43% for spirits versus 12% for table wines. Liqueurs are often used in cocktails as a base, although, they used to be used as a form of medicine in their origination.

Typically, the bases for spirits are fruit, grain or vegetable, or any sugar-based liquid that can be fermented. In grain based spirits, the initial fermentation turns the starch to sugar to be fermented. Certain spirits can only be made with a certain base and others can be made with different bases. For example, Vodka can be made with a grain, potato or sugar cane base whereby Brandy can only be made with grapes.


Cognac, Armagnac, Brandy, Grappa, Piscos and Trebbiano are examples of grape based spirits from different regions, with different types of grapes as their base. Calvados is an apple based spirit known as applejack in North America.

Whisky and Scotch are grain based spirits, where Scotch whiskey is a whiskey that contains a blend of more than one distillation, typically malt whisky and grain whisky. A single malt scotch whisky is the original whiskey that was produced from barley and distilled.

Rum is the most popular distilled spirit and typically made wherever sugar cane is grown, which is the base or sometimes molasses may be used. Depending on the still method used, pot or patent determines whether it is white rum or darker.

Typically, they are mixed with additional juices or flavouring to compliment their base.

Prostate BPH - the stages in a male life

It is regular for the prostate glands of males to grow significantly through their teenage years. This slows down when they get to 25 and pushes through when they reach 50. By the time they are around 80 years old, their prostate glands are very much enlarged. This enlargement of the prostate can take place earlier and it could be frightening since it could be cancerous. But there in another situation, the gland could enlarge, and the person should not be concerned about cancer – this state is called prostate BPH or Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia.

An enlarged prostate or BPH is not prostate cancer. It is a common condition especially among older men, age 50 years and above. Among those with prostate BPH, only 10 percent would need to be medically or surgically treated. Prostate BPH is also called Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy.
